Why You Should Play Genshin Impact
Genshin, Genshin, Genshin Impact.
We’re not just talking about just another ARPG game in this genre. We’re talking about the feeling, and the stories you’ll share with your gaming buddies. Genshin Impact is more than a game — it’s an experience. If you were not convinced from my Genshin Impact Review earlier this year, then let me give you 5 convincing reasons why you should play Genshin Impact in 2021.
Free Breath Of The Wild
Zelda’s Breath of the Wild is one of the greatest games ever made. It was a game that had the potential to do anything and everything, but in the end it accomplished most of what fans dreamed it would. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is simply a masterpiece, having been rated as one of the greatest video games ever made by many critics and fans alike, but it had a downside, it is only available on Nintendo, namely Switch and Wii U. What if I told you, Genshin Impact is on par with Breath Of the Wild in terms of combat, gameplay and a rich open-world, action-adventure, action combat game? Even better, Genshin Impact is it’s own title, a completely original game, not being based off another franchise or game and it is a complete Free To Play Title. While having full support from miHoYo in releasing updates every few months, we are talking about big updates. Genshin Impact 1.5 was released on April 28, 2021 while 1.6 is expected to happen on June 9, 2021. This brings to my next point…
Never-ending contents, Events & Updates
There is always something to do in Genshin Impact.
Whether you are challenging the latest content, they will also have a unique (not recycled) event going on. Or you can just go ahead and explore the massive breath-taking land. Or if you are Adventure rank 16 and above, you can activate Co-Op mode and take on domains and monsters, find treasure, or simply just enjoy the world of Teyvat with a group of friends, or find new friends.
With Genshin 1.6 patch just around the corner, it brings in new features such as Character Skins & Outfits & Skiff Waypoint.
It also includes new area and housing system updates.
Still not convinced yet on Genshin Impact? Let’s go to Reason #3
If #1 wasn’t convincing enough, and #2 was too weak for you, let’s talk about #3, yes Waifus & Husbandos. In Genshin Impact, you have a vast range of different characters to collect. Similar to traditional JRPGs, Genshin Impact allows you to shift between 4 characters you have collected in the open and create multiple teams. While it’s predominately Waifus, but Husbandos exist in game too! In fact, you get this annoying but cute loli midget named Paimon that serves as your personal guide throughout the game.
Some players don’t like her, while others do. Tell me your thoughts on Paimon.
Unique Combat System
Genshin Impact has a unique Elemental Combat System — Each character has a base element which they can perform a variety of different skills incorporating that element to attack enemies.
The elements in game are Pyro (fire), Geo (earth), Dendro (nature), Cryo (ice), Electro (lightning), Anemo (wind), and Hydro (water).
Unlike most mobile games, where it’s just element strength vs weakness, Genshin Impact takes it a step further.
Element not just have it’s strengths and weaknesses, it also has elemental reactions and elemental resonance making it a very complex system.

Don’t have a PC? No problem, you can play on your same account on your mobile devices without any feature limitations.
Do you take an hour public transport each day to and from work with nothing better to do? Well, I am sure you have an smart phone right, then you are capable of playing Genshin during that time.
Genshin Impact isn’t just available to play with either Mobile and PC, you can play online co-op between mobile and PC players as well.
In the near future, they are looking to cross-play console players with PC & Mobile making it a true complete cross-play game.
