Player Versus Player Guide

In Swords of Legends Online, Player versus Player comes in many different forms, shapes and sizes.

Currently, the known forms of PVP are the following

Currently, we have confirmation from @Raederle a Community Manager that for launch, they will be no Open World PVP, however, later on, we may have Faction PVP content. As for the Outlaw/Karma Open World PVP system in China, it is still up in the air whether that will materialize or not.

Which I am more than confident to saying, this is a temporary thing, as with Open World Bosses, with open world PVP disabled, that would be just a complete joke.

As for “Mass Battlegrounds” like PVP content, I am currently confirming if that is a mode that exist in game.

1v1 Duels

This is pretty self explanatory, one of the players request a “duel” with another and they duke it out till one loses all their Health.

Very stand in all forms of MMORPG

3v3 Arena & 5v5 Arena

Arena that has 3 or 5 player on each side. Another very standard PVP mode in MMORPGs.

While World of Warcraft has 2v2 and 3v3 Arena instead, most MMORPGs these days have variations between the number in each team.

For example, a few older MMORPG I use to play also had 3v3 and 5v5s game modes for PVP.

Guild Versus Guild

Similar to Blade & Souls revamped 6v6 battleground PVP, whether they have incorporated the Clan System into it. Swords of Legends Online will also have a GVG based PVP on a selected day of the week. They will battle for over ranking for additional rewards.

Summary

While the unknown Battlegrounds & missing Open World is quite a heavy blow for any serious PVPer.

However, one good new is that there is PVP Based Gear and PVE based gear.

With PVE gear doing considerately less damage in PVP and vice versa.

This is a dream that all PVPer want, something a few games tried and majority failed in successfully implanting. Let’s hope GameForge get this right for us PVP nerds.
